Who we are
iGlobal Finance LLP (“iGF”) is a project finance consulting company
located in the Fairfield County suburbs of New York City.
The firm is a joint venture between the TransCapital Group, LLC and
Barsily International, Ltd. The two companies have combined over sixty years
experience in project finance, marketing and new business development consulting.
We specialize in helping our clients obtain long-term non-recourse
financing for industrial and infrastructure projects valued over $25 million.
iGF works for the owners or promoters of a project.
Our fees, other than a modest retainer and out of pocket expenses such as travel
come directly from the proceeds of any financing arranged by us.
We are not compensated in any way by investors or lenders.
The managing partners of iGF have together over 60 years combined
international business experience, having done work in over 100 countries,
mainly in project finance, project development and business strategy consulting.
Partners Bios
Albert Y. P’an, Managing Partner
Albert has a unique background combining engineering,
advanced technology and general business management,
with more than 30 years experience across a wide range of
industries including investment and project development, financial services,
broadband, wireless and satellite telecommunications and consumer products.
Over his career, he has held executive positions in companies ranging in
size from start-ups to diversified multinational corporations.
Early on he spent more than ten years in the corporate offices of Fortune 500
companies including W.R. Grace and PepsiCo, beginning as a financial analyst
and rising to the Director level.
It was there that he obtained in-depth experience with strategic and
business planning processes, financial engineering and mergers and acquisitions.
Building on this firm foundation, he started the TransCapital Group -
an international investment advisory firm in 1984 and served as its
Chairman and CEO until 1992. Subsequently he moved into international sales and marketing management at InterDigital Communications, PanAmSat and Lockheed Martin.
He has earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in Naval Architecture from the University
of Michigan and the University of California and a Masters in Business from the Harvard Business School.
Born in Beijing, Albert traces his family heritage for thirty-three generations of scholars,
engineers, business people, government officials and artists in China. His maternal
great-grandfather founded Nankai University in Tianjin.
Robert A. Barsily, Managing Partner
Robert has over 30 years of broad-based corporate finance experience.
This experience includes ten years of increasing responsibility at the
investment banking firms of Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith, Shearson Hammill
(now Lehman Brothers) and Edward Viner & Company. His responsibilities
included research analyst, investment manager and partner-in-charge of corporate finance.
Robert founded and managed as CEO, Barsily International Ltd., New York, and
Bracor Financial, S.A., Geneva and London. These firms assisted corporations with
project financing requirements on a worldwide basis. Projects were completed in over 40 countries.
His academic training includes an MBA from New York University Graduate School of
Business and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Bridgeport.
